Eliquis 5mg
Eliquis is used to lower the risk of stroke caused by a blood clot in people with a heart rhythm disorder called atrial fibrillation.
Eliquis is also used after hip or knee replacement surgery to prevent a type of blood clot called deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which can lead to blood clots in the lungs (pulmonary embolism).
Eliquis is also used to treat DVT or pulmonary embolism (PE), and to lower your risk of having a repeat DVT or PE.
It may also be given through a feeding tube.
Your dose will depend on your condition and response to treatment.
Try to take eliquis 5mg price around the same time each day.
This medicine can be taken with or without food.
Eliquis is usually taken for 35 days after hip replacement surgery, and for 12 days after knee replacement surgery.
Follow the instructions on your prescription label carefully. Don't take more or less Eliquis than is recommended.
Also seek emergency medical attention if you have symptoms of a spinal blood clot: back pain, numbness or muscle weakness in your lower body, or loss of bladder or bowel control.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
easy bruising, unusual bleeding (nose, mouth, vagina, or rectum), bleeding from wounds or needle injections, any bleeding that will not stop;
Don't suddenly stop using this medicine without first talking to your doctor. Continue to take Eliquis even if you feel well, and don't miss any doses.
If you need to stop using eliquis 5 mg dosage, your healthcare provider may prescribe another blood thinner to help prevent stroke.
Eliquis contains another black box warning because it may cause a serious blood clot around your spinal cord if you have an epidural, spinal anesthesia, or a spinal puncture while taking it.
This blood clot can lead to long-term or permanent paralysis.
